The process to become a certified Jungian Analyst with professional membership in the International Association for Analytical Psychology (I.A.A.P.) is a long and rigorous training education. Analysis emphasizes soul work, relating with symbolic material and the inner world as well as the realization of one’s authentic self in the outer world. Jung stressed the human relationship in the analytic situation. Therefore, the training of an accredited Jungian Analyst involves hundreds of hours of self analysis, as well as rigorous examinations, colloquia, practicums, supervised training analysis and thesis. Thus, the analyst, through becoming more aware of his or her own complexes and psychic processes, can receive and relate with the many manifestations of the human psyche, including physical, mental, social, and spiritual aspects.
